Yeah but does that matter ? I like the Tone2 GUI's as they are nice and clear.

Whilst they are no where near my favourite guis (especially inconsistencies between mac and pc, and between for instance next and previous preset between various of their synths), I have seen and used much worse.... and in the grand scheme of things it isn't for me a dealbreaker.
But it would be nice for me to have a different looking GUI for each synth.

Hi,

i just asked Bastiaan about if it's allowed and yes i could confirm that Tone2 will release a new synth called Rayblaster soon (should be in around 3-4 weeks from now on).

Personally i was/am involved in Beta testing, factory sounds and waveform content (also based on DNR Wave Designer) for Tone2 Rayblaster.

The synth uses a new synthesis called "Impulse Modellng Synthesis" (="IMS") but i am not allowed to tell more technical details yet. A teaser video should be available next week.

You're welcome. I hope i could speak about more details soon. Like already mentioned a teaser video should be out next week.

So far i could just say that this will not be just another VA synth while it could produce that sort of sounds too.

Got Himalayas soundset and it is awesome like most of his work. :tu:

Maybe the you should also listen to the demo for the new "Dark Toxic" soundset:
http://www.tone2.com/html/dark_toxic.html

With that and the three other available soundsets plus the factory presets there should be more than 1300 presets available for Saurus now. Personally i got some more which are not published yet.

Saurus was one of the few synths i liked from the first minutes on and that impression was not just based on the presets.

I also love the new upcoming Tone2 Rayblaster synth (see above). As that uses a quite new synthesis method it took some time to learn and i am still learning new stuff with it.

What's with this new thing they do with crippled swing? Rather than a percentage, they give you 4 presets swing values? I see they've done it here again. They had normal swing in ElectraX and now they do these restricted swings on Saurus and RayBlaster? Makes no sense.

Rayblaster has preset arrows going *diagonally* this time and a randomizer that changes the preset in *Electrax*.
Also, new filters that can only be unlocked by purchasing the 64bit Warmverb which won't be out till next summer and are 100% guaranteed never to be included in any of their other software.

I really wish they'd concentrate on existing customers by fixing shit and releasing updated versions of stuff we've already bought in a somewhat more timely fashion.
But hey.

That sounds just daft.

OK I'm being dumb - but then it just sounded plausible because it's so like something they have done previously

I am very sure they will release updates for their old stuff as soon as possible.

It looks like there are patches for using their 64-bit plugins in Windows 8:

The Gladiator update was released recently and that for ElectraX is in the works.
