I wrote my post exactly like it looks now, I have not "added" any paragraph. And yes, I repeat that I can't use the iKaossilator (which we already have) because it doesn't support MIDI, so I can't sync it to a sequencer.

If a plugin would exist, it would sync to the sequencer it is hosted in. I thought this was blatant. Anyway I said "we're after something that...", and "something" can be either a plugin or even a standalone application. And english is not my main language! :)

Anyway, as far as I can tell, I'm not the one to wish something like a Kaossilator in a plugin/computer application form that could be used with a mouse, a MIDI controller or via a touch screen.

I think I'll pull the plug on a Kaossilator Pro. So far, thank you for your help.

The Kaossilator Pro supports both ways.

The iKaossilator doesn't support MIDI IN/OUT.
Other iPad apps like the ThumbJam, AniMoog support both MIDI IN/OUT.

I think too that the OP may have just wanted that, MIDI IN/OUT.
I'm not sure he wanted syncing as in MMC controlling, but I could be wrong as well.
Okay, but the OP asked 'is there a plugin I can use instead of the iKaossilator because it doesnt sync' and your reply is 'the iKaossilator doesnt sync' :?: :?:
I just re-read it again and your right.
I'll make sure to wake up first before replying. :D

Sorry about that.

Have a look at http://www.thumbjam.com

Even though it's a standalone iOS application, it can be used as a MIDI controller and it acts just like the iKaossilator.

You can choose from scales just like the iKaossilator but unlike the iKaossilator, you can add your own scales which I've done.

ThumbJam supports MIDI IN/OUT and is available on iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.

You can sync but only with other ThumbJam players and it's using BlueTooth for that so maybe you can sync with a DAW.
I'll post a question in Thumbjam support about that.

I was too lazy to do too much research, but I remembered the following and thought I'd mention it:

ArcDev Noise Industries Cyclotron X2

It may be hard to find, and it may not even be what you want, but like I said, I thought I'd at least mention it. :-)

Edit: Here's a download link if you want it:

I found an app that is a MIDI controller that simulates the XY pattern used on Kaossilator. Its called Track Master:

Do anyone have an idea on a sampler that implements a functionality similar to Kaossilator2 with many sounds and recording banks with overdub?

I'm pretty new into electronic music creation and use a Mac, so looking for apps in this platform.

Thanks.

No idea on how to reproduce the Kaossilator2 functionality on plugins or DAWs? I still haven't found anything similar.

Thanks
