Anyone more having problems receiving e-mails of notifications about comments on Soundcloud, but then you go and there is nothing?
"Oops, looks like we can't find that page!" :?

I hope they didn't mess up the whole thing intentionally just to make people jump into the Next Soundcloud or something...

Have a good day :)

TRACK NOTES:

Created for the KVR One-Synth-Challenge 47: Bazille (see sites.google.com/site/kvrosc/osc-47-bazille for more details)

This track was inspired by the jazz-fusion era of the 1960s and 1970s. Particularly the albums: "Bitches Brew" (Miles Davis) and "Head Hunters" (Herbie Hancock). Check them out!

All sounds programmed in u-he's Bazille modular synth (clarinet, Rhodes piano, jazz guitar, distorted clavinet, celeste, trombones, sax lead synth, resonant brass lead synth, string synth, acoustic bass, electric bass guitar, drums, hand percussion and recording noises(!)).

Produced in Logic Pro 8 using native fx (Gain, Channel EQ, Linear Phase EQ, Compressor, Expander, Noise Gate, Limiter, Adaptive Limiter, Tape Delay, Sample Delay) and free fx (Voxengo OldSkoolVerb, Flux StereoTool, TT Dynamic Range Meter) only.

Dynamic range of ~14dB

NB The download file has higher sound quality than the streaming version.
This is mindblowing!! And brings back fond memories... What awesome sound design, just wonderful!
ho66it and also Halma - thanks for the kind words. All the programming is in Bazille - I think it is capable of some really expressive sounds. Lots of mod wheel action going on as well (!) - I had a lot of fun creating the track.

Cheers

Hi friends!

After a long dry time i have made a track for the OSC. Some electro stuff with analog style sounds and digital reverb fun.
This is my 4th attempt for a song made with Bazille only. The other three attempts didn't work at all soundwise.

But finally here it is:

https://soundcloud.com/pocvecem/pocvece ... w-k-infect

PocVecem - Qspace (k^w^k-infect-mix)
4.54 min @ 123 bpm
DR 10

Cubase 6.5.3 x64
30 x Bazille 0.5 (3 tracks frozen, rest plays realtime)

Cubase plug ins used:
Channel EQ, Stereo Delay, PingPong Delay, Roomworks, Stereo Enhancer, Compressor, Multiband Compressor

3rd party plug ins:
TLs Maximizer/Limiter

And tons of automation tracks. Really had lots of fun with automating Roomwork's reverb times and eqs.

Have a good time and a good start into the new year.

Cheers,
Gerald

Hi,

Here's my first entry for the OSC (actually my first song I ever made that could be considered as somewhat 'finished'):

"Intergalactic Hymn of the Rastafari"

The first ideas came up when I was in the hospital watching over my youngest daughter who was there because of a bacterial infection on the lungs:
kind of an appropriate environment for a music contest on a synth called bazille...

I didn't do the sound design possibilities of the synth much justice since I only used existing presets. I had more ambitions on that, but lack of time prevented me from really delving into the sonic possibilities of this synth.

I used

- 8 instances of Bazille : didn't do any bouncing down but had to freeze some tracks to prevent my computer going nuts on the CPU
- DAW = Ableton Live
- DAW effects : Simple Delay, Compressor, EQ Eight, Limiter, Multiband Dynamics
- Freeware effects : Dub Expander, Ambience reverb, Classic compressor, Classic Delay, Classic Reverb, Classic EQ, Classic Auto-Filter,
epicverb, NastyDLA, Thrillseeker XTC.

Any feedback most welcome!

Greetings,

IbiM

@ IbiM. Great entry. I hope your daughter is well and that you did not have to spend Christmas in hospital with her.
