Are we seeing the decline of the plug-in industry?

Don't you think new cool hardware can cause a little decline in the software industry? Since i got hardware i've only bought one plugin (SDRR). Before hardware i bought software like if i had taurettes' yelling "BUY BUY BUY BUY". And im far from the worst!!!!

Good point, There has not been a shortage in that area to put it mildly and at good price points for all pockets
It is also fun to use and most of the time one doesn't need to fire up a computer to get going which brings immediacy. So could well be/totally plausible that people have been balancing out for more variety
