Use the master section. Spire can do thin sounds, Spire can do phat sounds. Sometimes thin is desirable. But then you turn up X-comp, warm, boost, EQ, etc, and you have analog beast on CPU. Spire is a synth with many many faces.HcDoom wrote:Guys, what do you think about the sound coming out of the Spire? Some of my fellow producers say its a bit thin...but I dont hear that in videos for preset packs? :/

I'm a little late to the Spire party but holy moly - this little guy sounds amazing.
A lot of the presets are a little too trance pants for me but the sheer sonic quality in there is incredible.
Wow!

Soooo... it's August... how far are we from the update that was teased for summer release which showed cpu usage around the level of sylenth1?
Also, I'd like to see the pattern generator be able to be applied to the arp.

Was hoping to also about v1.1 with the CPU improvements if I may. I absolutely ADORE Spire, it's likely my favourite synth alongside Massive, but was curious if the v1.1 update is still in the works and very far off as I have noticed the CPU hit gives me dramas on larger projects

Reveal Sound seem very quiet at the moment.
Would be nice if they chipped in with an update on how things are progressing.

Hi
Spire v1.0.18
1. Added Spire AAX for Pro Tools 11 (Mac only)
2. Updated Factory 5 Sound Bank (now 128 presets)
3. Fixed minor bugs
Please download latest version on http://reveal-sound.com/
Also we are currently hard working on new DSP engine which has considerably less CPU and RAM usage!

Spire is still my favorite synth. My template project is just 2 drum sample tracks, Sonic Academy's Kick, and 4 Spire tracks. People do all this trance stuff with it, but the truth is that it can do everything from smooth jazz to space drones with amazing tone every time. What a great interface too. Nothing flashy, but lightning fast to work with. The best distortion fx i have ever heard. That and the compressor make some truly great basses. I would like to see a 3rd reverb mode added though, something for less digital and more roomy sounding keys.
