No matter the outcome, this game has been a ton of fun.

After doing a rough count there should be at least 9 votes for Diversion nowLotuzia wrote:
The second winner must guess the synth in the Nth place, AND N is any number comprised between 1 and 9.
So that ....... a synth wich has been mentioned MORE than 9 times is not This Synth, otherwise, our second winner would have been found for a long time.
so any additional votes for it will be out of the game i guess.

My congratulations to gamecat666 too.Timfonie wrote:So which is number N?
Congrats gamecat666 (what's in a name )
Nice to see my last "analysis" was finally the right one...
It's cool that this is the only synth i voted for that i don't own already so if i don't win now i am highly motivated to go for the 3rd place game which seems to follow.
Even i i should not win at all checking the demo again made me highly intersted in Diversion again (especially with the latest update). As it's currently on sale i'll make use the opportunity anyway.
I'm a fan of Laurent's sound design so of course i would get the soundset too then...
The waveform editor in Diversion could export the created waveforms as WAV files which is great for doing new waveforms also for other synths (e.g. Rayblaster).
It seems to complement well with DNR Wave Designer as that one uses e.g. the mathematical functions editor which could deliver different results than the editor in Diversion.

Thanks a lot Ingo I'm glad that this little game has drawn attention to what I see as one of the most underrated synthesizers : DiversionIngonator wrote:My congratulations to gamecat666 too.Timfonie wrote:So which is number N?

So the magic number was 7 ( isn't it always ? )
Gamecat666 was indeed the first to mention Diversion, so he is our first winner
Then came an honorable gentleman whose name I have unfortunately forgotten, then ....
Ingo 3rd, Examigan 4rth, Vaylos 5th, Resonator 6th, Flyinger 8th, VitaminD 9th ... and
Lnikj : 7th
So, as far as I can see, GAMECAT666 and LNIKJ won the first two licences for DIVERSION
If there are no contestations of these results, then they will be officialised, and I, or Dmitry, will send details to these gentlemen so that they can have their DIVERSION licences. As well as the Divinity Soundset.
I would like to warmly thank Mr Dmitry SCHES Without him, nothing would have been possible. Thanks Dmitry, for your generosity, and of course, for having created Diversion !
I'd like to thank also to all the people who have participated in this thread until now, and especially all those who made it alive, a fun experience, a real sonic journey : Without YOU, nothing woud have happened as well
And its not over : A THIRD licence of Diversion is still to be won . I'm currently experiencing big problems to UL the separate instruments demos on youtube. But once its done I'll announce the rules for the second game

Waiting for the new game now...
Currently i am around 90% sure i would get Diversion anyway, at least if the special price is still valid after this game ended...
If i really get this it would be finally time to really clean up my huge softsynths collection as then i have a serious bad ass collection of some powerful synths.

thanks folks!
fantastic, ive been eyeing up Diversion for a while, especially after playing with the free FX version
oddly, i was still more convinced that it was Rayblaster but thats just due to the similar sounding demos on the product page!
thanks to Lotuzia for a fun competition and interesting new sounds, and Dmitry for the generous gift
I dont have the technical knowledge of Ingo and the other sound detectives but something that hinted me in the direction of Diversion is that although its not a brand new synth, its recently had a Mac release so I guessed that the new bigger audience would be attractive for preset designers.
fun competition
ps THIS is why KVR is the best forum.
