I don't believe adjusting price is a good precedent. Better to just make the product worth what you ask.

But I'll keep my mind on more creative rewards for early adopters. Maybe 1st priority feature requests, free major updates, something like that.

Yes please make a mac VST (not just AU).

as much as I like a good discount, this is a very smart policy.
Can't wait to try Cycle, looks promising!

Can you help me understand the difference to regular VSTs, do they work differently? Or do you mean, simply include a VST option in the Mac installer?

First version folks, I'm taking all feedback seriously.
Yes i just mean a 'Mac' VST, as Cubase doesn't load AU plugins. Cheers ;)
That is, a VST compiled for Mac. Probably not quite that simple, but a Windows dll will never work in OS X.

Not cool, Norton.
Yeah, it's much wiser to trust a first-time unknown plug-in installer than a well known AV program that's been around for decades.

Innocent until proven guilty though right? ;)

Hey Dave, this may be a permission issue I haven't run into before. Does Windows 8 have stricter user account settings that you know of? And does C:\Users\name\Documents even exist in Win 8?

It does. No such issues here, win8.1 64bit .

Maybe it needs a reinstall as administrator.

Post

it has set up the folder in my documents
inside it there is a cycle folder
inside that there is nothing

i can load a sample into it
the gui shows the sample
no sound

i have uninstalled and reinstalled as admin

still no sound
will have another go later

...and is more and more turning into a virus itself.

Eset NOD32 for the win.

That is normal. My understanding is the sample is only analyzed, you then trace the waveform and deactivate the sample display and should you get a sound.

But maybe try re-downloading (if you haven't already) and reinstalling that.

Or are you maybe running the installer in a weird place? Like from /Temp/ or something?
