Yup, the 'D' doesn't fit.
A striped GUI? Please be reasonable.

Post

Strangely enough, after my previous reservations, I kinda like it  (nostalgia, maybe)

I may very well end up using the non-glare version.

if you maybe open your mouth a little more, the 'D' just might fit :smack:

For those of us who remember it, the OBX-a was striped (and very classy too) :hyper:

Actually, the stripes started with the OB8, and by the time of the OB-Xa, there was a complete line of products that could interconnect (the synth, a sequencer and a drum machine, if I'm not mistaken) that all share the same look.

EDIT: Yep, here they are: Image

And here in high quality: Image

Yeah, and it had a monitor, right?

Hmmm... No, I don't remember a monitor. This was still before MIDI, and the first musical instrument I saw with a monitor was the Fairlight.

OBX-a / DMX / DSX :hyper: That combination was the staple kit for side one of Mike Oldfield's Crises album.

No monitors, but poor studio lights / bad eyes could still pose a problem, but for the sounds the OBX-a was capable of certainly made up for it :D

A black and green combination at that too, and people complain about bad GUI's now :hihi:

yes, every Oberheim synthesizer of that time came with a
CGA monitor for also playing the Synth's built-in Leisure Suit Larry game on. :nutter: :nutter: :nutter:

Shall. We. Play. A. Game?

I like the GUI a lot. Maybe a simpler version for those with eye conditions though?

I like the dark skin a lot, so PM sent ;)
