With sk2's xk3's and b3mk2's there are 96 tone generating processors. that's right 96 cores one for each tonewheel. They now have ten contacts. The keys being not weighted as they always were are pressure sensitive not velocity sensitive which brings out (yes sorry) an organic vibe that all emulators pale in comparison to.
I'd love to be wrong, too, but if I'm not mistaken this thread is about plug-in Hammond emulations, not hardware. ;-)

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Synthmaster has excellent organs especially with additional presets by Nori for Pink Floyd, ELP and Genesis, and art rock basics by Nori adds even more. These are spot on to the sound I hear on the record and if VB3 is going to do something new I hope they take a cue to copy these presets and improve them.I need a good Jon Lord and Wakeman organ patch as well

i wish pianoteq would get a hammond add-on. piano, EP, hammond, all in one shot. oh yeah.

the company that would blow us all away if they did B3 would be AAS.

Pianoteq does some superb modelling, but you should take a serious look at the Model C in Halion Sonic 2 and Halion 5.

I would vote for a paid Hammond softsynth from Tale, the guy behind ComboV and ComboF.

I'm a bit busy at the moment getting ready to play in my new band. Learning the material, programming sounds. Just 2 rehearsals and then it's playing the new album live for the cd presentation :o

After the dust has settled a bit I'll do some side-by-side comparisons of VB3 and Steinberg Model C, both through XILS-labs LX122 leslie sim.

Why not through VB3fx, because to my ears it sounds better and more authentic than LX122?

Yes, also a possibility. It was indeed to keep the leslie sim the same between the two plugs. Forgot that VB3 also runs as an effect :)

I would not be surprised if that happens at some point. It would seem a logical development to make it the keys king

You can build one in Tassman - it has the modules and several organ models

My view exactly.

Right now I'm playing Guido's VB3 v.2, equipped with worlds's biggest dongle, the Crumar Mojo. Believe me, it's worth waiting for the VST/AU plugin version - whenever it finally arrives.

Already done and the VB3 is slighly more bass heavy than both the Model C and raw Hammond samples.

Have you tried adjusting the tonewheel scaling in the global options?
