And that is (drumroll)...Spectrasonics
They just released an update to Omnisphere 1.5 and it has an error when trying to install on Win XP 32, and lo and behold it says Win 7/Vista required in the release notes.

I'm going to email them and ask them for confirmation as to whether there will be no repair for this update not working on XP.

Vista was a real pig,but Win 7 Pro x64 is a great OS...
Not all change is bad,but if you want to stay where you are - that's OK...

If you wanna stick with XP - feel free.
Just do not expect the rest of the world to stop progress and development.
XP is outdated.
WIN 7 64 bit works brilliantly for me.

I - as a developer of browser based applications - would be very happy if Windows XP would completely disappear today. Then I wouldn't have to care about IE8 anymore. Or maybe I should go the Google road: to only support the current and previous browser versions and simply ignore the rest
