This is my entry for the OSC 60.

I used Sonar X3 Producerfor the DAW, and 12 instances of Tone2's Saurus.

I used the DAW's Eq on half of the tracks, the DAW's surround panning effect on one track, and the DAW's multiband compressor on the master bus. No other effects were used except the ones built-in to Saurus. Some automation was used in the DAW for panning and mix levels. All the presets used are factory sounds except the snare which I made myself in Saurus.

Once again I was able to finish my track on the last possible entry date. Pfff

The track is called Illusions

Instead of using a DAW this time I made my track with Maschine.
I didn't use any additional FX except for the FX programmed in the patches, there are 10
tracks (or groups in Maschine lingo).

Synth: Massive (61 instances)

Recorded in Ableton Live using a guitar to midi converter for the most part.

Mixed and mastered in Ableton Live using only Lives native fx devices on individual tracks, sends and master.

About the track: I'm currently unable to walk properly because of a messed up ankle (skateboarding injury), which is fine when sitting in chair producing music, but sucks in all other areas of life, especially when living in an apartment on the 5th floor with no elevator. Made me think about how fortunate I am to have my limbs intact for the most part, so this track is meant as homage to the disabled and handicapped who have the strength to go through life with a permanent disability - much respect to them, they are true champions!

This is an idea which came in my mind some years ago: finally I’ve decided this is the right occasion to create it, and the best way to celebrate this anniversary with you

The track is a journey through Escher’s work; it’s divided in ten parts, according to the woodcut print:

With quite some regret I have to announce that I withdrew my track Dub-Liners from this month's OSC. A combination of not much time left from work, poor inspiration and a dizzy head from a beginning cold holds me from fiddling further with this strange little synth String Theory.

May the best of you win, my friends. My choice would have been bzur's wonderful Metamorphosis.

My contribution to the one-synth-challenge: Draft Phunk - Pheat Obxd (Obxd)

Don't ask me where this came from... there's no logic in it. Funk isn't even my style! It started with the claps and then they just dragged me through the rest of it.

- Made in Nuendo 5.5.6
- 35 instances of Obxd (!)
- FX: Nuendo's Reverence Reverb - Nuendo Ping-Pong Delay on Solo. TDR comp on the 2-bus.
- Some minor Nuendo EQ to roll off the low end on the Kick, Brass, Pluck and, um "vocoder"?

- The patches all come from my own patch set for the Obxd but many were tweaked for this. A few new patches too.
