I like this synth, I wish it was less expensive.
I noticed there was a brief sale - after the sale ended.
I have messed with the demo a bit, kinda slow to program.
Any owners here?

I was wondering can you import your .wav files and your own images?
Yes I looked briefly for the answer but this was not obvious to me.

You can import your own samples but not your own images.Kalamata Kid wrote:I was wondering can you import your .wav files and your own images?
The User manual is quite good now actually: http://amaranthaudio.com/help/
I think it's an amazing and unique sounding synth with an obviously unique UI and a unique way to create and manipulate sounds. It's hard to wrap your head around it at first, but with the updated manual it's become pretty acessible if you're open to a rather different approach to the usual knob-tweaking. Here's the workflow description which I find very helpful to get started:

Cycle LE is included with Beat Mag issue 2, 2015:
As always, it will be interesting to see how restricted the LE version is

God, this synth looks like if you were making a film set in the future and you said to your art director "I need you to create a GUI for a synthesizer that might exist in the future" and it was all future and shit.

It's awesome that you can run it full screen too - even if you don't know entirely what you're doing with it, it still looks and sounds greatSendy wrote:God, this synth looks like if you were making a film set in the future and you said to your art director "I need you to create a GUI for a synthesizer that might exist in the future" and it was all future and shit.

crazy synth with deep modulations, remind me of harmor with time modulation, great for drastic phase change, an inovative and great sounding instrument, a kind of additive wavetable my favorite additive vst for now, i have spend an all day for make a decent sound, but when you have grab the concept, it s so sweet, another must buy on my list, pffff
just one thing, i would like to copy and paste a sample pitch env into a pitch env for resynthesis, same for the ir and another modulator

You might want to check out the thread on Flexion. It appears to be a loose variation on Cycle. There are definitely similarities.kokotte wrote:crazy synth with deep modulations, remind me of harmor with time modulation, great for drastic phase change, an inovative and great sounding instrument, a kind of additive wavetable my favorite additive vst for now, i have spend an all day for make a decent sound, but when you have grab the concept, it s so sweet, another must buy on my list, pffff

Personally, I was impressed and am looking forward to trying it out.

I am hating the way the browser works now, please bring back having it in its own tab, I can't see any advantage to have to open a new window every time I want to browse patches, and what is most annoying is that you can't load patches in a single click, you have to double click on them which then closes the browser so it doesn't even really function as a browser.
Also can we get rid of the 'do you want to save' reminder dialogue when I change a patch, I don't need the hand holding, if I want to move to a new preset and have not saved the one I was working on that's my problem, most of the time changes made to the preset have been in performance not editing anyway so I just need to be able to change presets fast not have to click a box every time.

Did you try emailing Daven? That's probably going to be the best way to get feedback to him. I suspect he won't see any updates to this thread for a while...aMUSEd wrote:I am hating the way the browser works now, please bring back having it in its own tab

Woah, I do! I know what you mean, it's a pain when you were just fiddling, but when you've actually put some work in it? I've lost a couple of things and with all the vertice translations and stuff, your work is essentially irreproducible.aMUSEd wrote:Also can we get rid of the 'do you want to save' reminder dialogue when I change a patch, I don't need the hand holding,

It needs to be an option though.
