Ultravox used that lead sound allot. (the voice, solo in sleepwalk, hymn)

But it has indeed a more squeezed character

I think the Howard Jones solo did use pulse wave, it sounds quite thin too.

And he used (and still uses) much more the Eminent 310 than the Eminent Solina, on stage as well as in studio.

The mythic Jarre sound is not from the Eminent Solina, but from the Eminent 310, precisely the Eminent 310U. And they sound totally different.

I didn't tried to "mimic" anything; "Inspired by JMJ" bank is just that: inspired by... It was made in JMJ's style, with no intention to reproduce any specific sound.
Well, that said, I guess the bank is not what you guys seeking here, sorry.

That all banks zip doesn't work for me either.

EDIT: Sorry, I downloaded it, it is ok. BUT at the same time it is NOT!
You must have a permission to publish those patches (and tool), and believe me, I went through all this. Just remove that file, please.

Well, that said, I guess the bank is not what you guys seeking here, sorry.

Created in the purpose of

emulating accurately a legendary sound
being just "inspired by"
sounding by chance almost as or exactly as a legendary sound while it wasn't the goal at all
etc.

... we should always have one thing in mind: if a sound is pleasant for he who hears it... so it's a nice sound. That's all. And that's the better way to live our music, I think.

And also yes... Nobody should consider implicit that a patch/bank (or anything else) that the creator shares himself may be automatically broadcasted worldwide by somebody else without any personal ask for right before. It's a matter of respect for the creator. Obligating oneself to have always a reserve by default should be the normal behavior. For everything in the life.

got em hope those 10 banks and everyone elses contributions are coming along nicely. Amazing how this little synth still holds its own with all the others to choose from that have come out in recent years.
