I tried Luxonic but the Reverb is horrible.

I'm asking this about the reverb, because I tried out Sylenth, and I think mainly the nice reverb makes this synth so awesome. I think we can do this with Synth1 also, add some great FX on top and it could compete?

I agree about nice reverb being so important here. How about spending a really small amount of money and getting Warmverb multiFX - it is a good plugin. AFAIK it was part of Beat magazine software some time ago. But if freeware is your goal (totally understandable) - maybe this would be of some help:

And I end with my third collection of these really awesome free bundles, my third is the freeware pack made by Melda:

In freeware, I make everything with these three free bundles above. And sometimes I use one of the effects (one by one, behind an instrument to particularize it) made by Togu Audio Line, which are very soft and lush. They are the must have to recreate with the Synth1 the superb atmosphere of the "Rolandish" sounds.

I've been tinkering with Synth1 off and on over the last few months; at some point I decided to try my hand at some Jupiter-8 preset emulations similar to the OP-X ones. Quite a few of them can't be emulated, due to differences in the synth architecture, but sometimes it's possible to cheat a bit. So here are a few examples; if there are any Jupiter-8 owners still on here, maybe let me know how close these are.

Not that I'm aware of. I used the synthmania sound examples to make these.

There are some sounds I posted a while ago that had a recreation of the Roland D-50 "Soundtrack" patch in it. Now THAT's been used in a lot of songs...
