Yorrrrr,
thanks for your explanation, I looked it up in the manual and on page 16 it confirms what you are saying.

I have much to learn.

Waldorf Blofeld & Pulse 2, Akai MAX49 & MPD226, Steinberg UR44 & CMC controllers
Cubase Pro 13, Nuendo 13, Wavelab Pro 12, Dorico Pro 5, Rapid Composer v5, FL Studio 21

From now on I have to do more with less. Any way, great synth, the best in my collection.

Keep up the great work.
Please note, that modulation rate setting is NOT a quality setting and does not equal better sound. It is only needed when applying very fast modulations with LFOs or MSEGs, or to use the output of an oscillator as a modulation source. The higher the setting, the more accurate the synth will be in these specific scenarios.
I have switched back and forth between the "quality" settings and hardly noticed any difference in terms of CPU load, maybe because I have not used such extreme modulation...

If anyone is looking for the correct Z3ta virus mod with midi arps to use in DUNE2, it is here:

DUNE 2 unison engine is excellent as it is but..today I was thinking about something..how awesome would it be if it could be possible to assign key ranges to individual unison voices. And separate arpeggiators per voice. Just dreaming. DUNE 3, maybe.

I would love if Modulation rates could be in decimal points. Right now, if you send an LFO to pitch it starts at 1. I'd love a 0.5 rate for a sweet tremolo.....

You mean vibrato? Tremolo is when you modulate the amplitude, vibrato is pitch... :)

Also, there is usually a "Fine" pitch target to be modulated which will give you a much finer pitch modulation for vibratos, etc. The regular pitch is tuned to semi tones per increment, if I recall correctly.

Thanks! But still don't understand how to use the midi arps as they are in a *.cmp format in this package. :help:

If anyone knows how to contact Francesco, and he gives permission, I can post them here. They are very tiny.

The VIRUS mod has never been a commercial package, isn't it? Therefore I see no problem...

Yep, there's both Semi and Fine targets for exactly this reason.

Really enjoying DUNE 2 so far. But, to me, it would be interesting to know the devs take on certain design choices, such as not including a phase knob on the oscillators, or a initial phase knob and even a "vertical shift" knob (same as "offset" on Sylenth1 and "sym" on Spire) on the LFOs. Not that is really needed, though. Just curious. Right now these are features that can be easily created in the mod matrix, of course, but they would fit on the current GUI (at least the ones for the LFOs; on the oscillators there is no space) so we don't have to do that.

The reason is that setting the initial phase to a particular value seems somewhat rarely needed, so it felt sufficient to have it in the mod matrix. Have to check out the LFO offset parameter in more detail, the purpose isn't entirely clear to me yet (since you may as well change the original parameter value).
