fabi wrote: looking forward to that. on thursday i might have access to speedy internet, again, so i'll download it then. will it be on soundcloud, bandcamp or where?
bandcamp!
fabi wrote: is the chipsounds launch album only available via soundcloud?
was there a chirpcrusher (i like that typo, i'm keeping it) launch album?
Yes the old chipsounds EP was soundcloud only (wanted to do a second one for ages), as there are so many amazing tracks out there made with it.

There wasn't a chipcrusher album per se, but the chipspeech launch album contains stuff made with all three products (not exclusively, but often)

Sounds great. Looking forward to test it.

Any ideas for the price?

I am guessing it'll be $95 like Bidule and chipsounds. Just guessing, though. And hoping it'll be less. Though considering the R&D involved I could understand if they priced it like chipsounds.

DavidV, a bit off-topic, but in the next update of Chipsounds, could we have an update that lets you create and sweep through your own hand-drawn wavetables on things like the Gameboy wave channel? FAMItracker has this functionality and it's so much fun creating 4-bit wavetables that approximate different synthesis functions, or just drawing weird transitions and seeing how they sound. 8-16 waves per table is enough, I guess the steppyness is all part of the chip aesthetic.

Also, I really can't wait for Chipspeech. I feel like this could be the thing that finally gives my music project a voice. Somehow a human voice never really fit, plus I hate the sound of my voice :hihi:

Hum, you can draw the waveform of the Gameboy's Wave Channel since chipsounds 1.0

Surely you mean something else?

You might be surprised (or not), but I heard this a few times :)
