just finished watching the video. might just get it after all. was thinking about getting the mono/poly, but i love me lots of LFOs.
one question i do have, though - can Oddity2 finally have its patchmorphing be triggered via MIDI? In other words, if I send a program change message, will oddity2 switch presets (and morph over time if that has been selected on the GUI?)?

Not sure as I never use patch morphing but if you download the demo it includes a great PDF manual that should help answer your specific questions.fabi wrote:just finished watching the video. might just get it after all. was thinking about getting the mono/poly, but i love me lots of LFOs.

How can I not buy it now! Great videometrosonic wrote:No contest in terms of sound quality. Korg Legacy has had no significant updates to it's audio engine since it was launched and it shows.fabi wrote:hm, i am interested in the oddity2, too, but then there's also the korg legacy on sale. so now i'm wondering which might suit me better and be more bang for the buck. I'll probably have to wait until the end of december for financial reasons, either way, but i AM tempted.
though if it weren't account-bound, my oddity upgrade coupon would already have ended up in the market place by now.
Check this great video posted yesterday on Sonicstate if you need some deeper background into Oddity 2's capabilities:

Yes, the manual is pretty nice. Unfortunately preset morphing still only works via mouse-click. So no preset morphing via MIDI controls.

The only way to do it with automation would be in something like NI Kore 2.

I am having a weird issue - there's no standalone installed. The vst is working fine in Cubase 8, but there's no standalone shortcut in my G-Force folder on the Start Menu, and I can't find an executable anywhere on my SSD (just the dll in my vst x64 folder).
Anybody heard anything about this?

Is there a GForce folder in Program Files? Or did you merely just install the update?

No - there's no GForce folder in either of the Program Files folders. I already had the Oddity installed and installed Oddity 2 - I think. You mean the update isn't the same as the main install exe? I went to my page at their site and downloaded from there. I've also more recently installed the update (or what I thought was just an updated version of the single installation executable) from there.
The Mac version is 27MB while the PC version is 8MB.

When the installer begin, you were asked to Deselect versions you do not want to install. My bet is you deselected everything except VST64. You should have left the O2 selected so as to have the full version installed. Try again.

O2! What's that?
Wow, good call - that was the problem...or should I say, I was the problem.

How are things going with loading previous present banks?

loading your old presets is a snap. and often a good template to build up from, adding the extra oscillator, polyphony, a different filter, etc. (probably a placebo effect or something, but a/b-ing the original oddity with oddity2 with my old presets, i swear i hear a difference. glad to have both.)

Got no success with loading Oddity 2 64 bit demo after installing, trying to launch just freezes FL Studio.
How do I uninstall it, can't find an uninstaller file in the Gforce folder in Program files?
