Hello all,

Steinberg is proud to announce the release of versions 5.1 for HALion 5 and 4.2 for Groove Agent 4.

The HALion 5.1 update provides many workflow improvements and adds many tools and features to the sampler, introducing eight new effects, new looping modes, sample editing tools and the vintage playback modes.

Groove Agent 4.2 now offers more integration with Follow Transport and direct MIDI routing to the plug-in host, advanced Note Repeat functionalities, individual control of the pattern pads in each Agent, a new alternate loop mode as well as providing several workflow improvements suggested by Groove Agent users.

I got a quirk though. If I leave the Steinberg ASIO drivers in place they conflict with the MOTU PCI ASIO. So the simple fix is to remove them. But the update installation fails without them. So I have to remember to move them back to the default folder when updating and then put them back where I store them (away from where HAL can find them). All is working, but that is something of a quirk to put up with.

I downloaded this 3 times and every time I try and extract it to the desktop I get "Some installation files are corrupt,download and try again". "CRC failed in Groove Agent 4\GrooveAgent_Content_Update_4.0.1.msp
Unexpected end of archive"
Anybody have an idea what's going on? Very frustating.

There is obviously something wrong with their server, so just wait a few hours and try again, Germany is still sleeping.

I hope you're right because I tried 3x over the course of today.This morning, this afternoon and this evening.Hopefully it'll sort itself out.

Me too, I succeeded in downloading the HALion update, but the GA failed 3 times, so I gave up, what makes you think they would not fix it, I guess there are something like 10.000+ users or more waiting to dl it.
