Hi there David.

I messaged when PortaFM first came out as I was having issues with the 100% GUI size (things disapearing) which resolve themselves when changing to any other GUI size.

There was an update that you sent me at the time but it didn't fix the issue. I'm wondering if you could include a setting, in the settings, where it saves your preferences. As then I could set it to 75% for example and not have to change the GUI size every time I use it.

Not a deal break by any means, the sound of this synth is well worth a few extra clicks. It just seems odd that it's fully functioning on the other sizes but not the default. It's become one of my favourite synths, thank you for it. Any word on the next one?

Hi

The current dev version of our engine correctly supports recalling zoom size. Will need to make an update package soon, perhaps with the first private beta of chipcrusher 2 and chipsynth 64 we are working on.
Cheers.

Wait, what? There's going to be a version 2 of chipcrusher? :hyper:

Sounds great. Got a rough idea about whether you will provide an upgrade path for owners of version 1? Probably still too early for a price estimate, I suppose.

Edit : and I think that would be your first version 2 of a product of yours, too. :)

Indeed, and our oldest product is not even 1.0 hahah
The upgrade path is still being figured out.

Hehe, yeah, I thought of bidule not even being 1.0 yet, too. Still my most used software of yours. :D

Was just wondering how you'd check eligibility for the upgrade path. I suppose one way would be to require the upgraded plugins to have the chipcrusher 1.0 image as well as the 2.0 upgrade image to be dragged onto the plugin. New customers would get a single version 2 image then.
Just thinking out loud here... :ud:

Cheers David, that would work perfectly, both 75 and 125 work well for me. I'm hoping it's not a case of whatever loads first is just a bit funny and I have to change it each time. Look forward to that as I am using PortaFM increasingly over the past few months. Thanks for your reply.

Double post.

One of the many favorite or unique (to my knowledge) features of bidule of mine is that one can midi-learn open UI on plug-ins. :D
It's so useful to see at the click of a finger the UIs I have mapped to midi devices!
