Objectively, they are the most expensive presets on the market.
Objectively they're definitely not. Take a look at UVI, 8Dio or Spitfire Audio.

Take a look at Omnisphere... at the very end it´s a preset machine as well and cost on it´s own more than the double of Avenger ... quite a few packs you can buy for the difference and then you´ve got the presets you want and not thousands of nonsense presets, which sound either way overdistorted or sound the same apart from the original Atmosphere sounds...

Those are full fledged sample libraries. UVI wipes the floor with Veangance not even a competition. Again they are ripping people off when you really think about it.

KVR strikes again.

Omnisphere is in no way a preset machine, that's very silly indeed Trancit. But if we're talking the cost of additional presets, The Unfinished just released Colossus III - 400 presets for around £70 if I recall, and he's pretty much the best preset designer out there.

8dio and Spitfire Audio do not make synths (at least in anything like the conventional kind). They make sample libraries.

Wavegem - you're right about UVI not even a competition with Vengeance. They don't make anything that's remotely comparable, so yeah absolutely not a competition.

So. Back to Avenger?

At the very it emits sounds which get absorbed by turd extracting digest machines.
No, Avenger is also a very fine instrument and sound design tool.

It was my first thought, when I saw the prices "man those libraries" are expensive". But I'm not the kind of guy who's buying presets. For some people they might make sense though. No one's obligated to buy them. I guess they're charging what it takes to MAKE them, not really what they might be worth to the customer. I'm from Germany, too. The most expensive thing in this country are man-hours. We got a common joke "a german craftsman must work 5h to pay a german craftsman 1h". Sad reality here.

Also have to take the side of Wavegem: You can't really compare the UVI-libraries to those preset banks, judging from what I know. I own a lot of UVI-"libraries", some are complete synth emulations, fully scripted with their own interface. A better comparison for UVI-libraries are Kontakt Instruments.

I am not saying that I don't wish they would be slightly cheaper.

However, it is subjective. It depends what the presets are worth for each person - taking into account synthesis capability and knowledge of each person, how much a persons time is worth to sit and create or re-create patches, the quality of patches i.e. buying a Sylenth Bank, personally I can find only a handful of usable presets, the rest are fillers. With Avenger (especially with msvs' patches) I find that 80-90% are immediately usable, etc

Can someone help me? How can I stack multiple samples, but external samples? Whenever I drag in samples from Windows Explorer, they overwrite the sample stack in Avenger. Stacking seems to be possible only with library samples. However I don't know how to import samples as "samples" (not resample, wavetable, etc.) into the library.

Post

please read page 19 of the manual to learn how to import your custom multisamples

Own wavetables for Avenger. If you do not have serum or icarus you can try Audioterm. So you can build your own wavetables for Avenger from each waveform. Also draw your own waveforms is possible.
