this sounds perfect, however i haven't been able to get this to work.
i tried dragging the bassdrum from the kit, and also from the DRM SQ onto an OSC
also rewatched your (excellent) DRUMS and SYNTH DRUMS walk through vids and couldn't find this feature mentioned.

could you please clarify the this technique?

It only works with samples outside the drum kits. You can’t use the drum kits sounds in regular OSCs because. If you really need a sound from the kits, play it, record it and then drag it to osc.

thanks!
so basically in that case you would need to sequence the kick independently using an ARP right?
(it would not be possible to trigger an OSC with the DRM SQ kick track right?)

Post

yes

but if you ask me, I would just use the piano roll of your daw!?

Post

true...
on the other hand, the more I can do directly in Avenger the better I like it;)

not super important, but it might be cool to have a keyboard tracking modulation source specifically for the pitch parameter on the drum kit elements.

Post

you can route Keytracking on the Drumpitch, but could be difficult to match it on exact note values.

just drag and drop "KEYTRACK" on the top of the keyboard to the "PITCH" knob in a drumslot

I've lost access to Avenger after updating to 1.3.4. It won't authorize in either online or offline mode.

The online method gives an error: "Error: Cannot write license file. Please remove write protection." (Nothing is write protected nor non-standard with file permissions as far as I know.)

The offline method fails with: "License cannot be activated. Please download a new keyfile." (Downloading a new keyfile doesn't solve it for me.)

I've sent an email to the support email, but thought I'd try here, too. Tried searching this thread, as well.

Any ideas to try?

Windows 10 64 bit. Latest version of several DAWs, same issue. Tried with a blank project and new instance.

Cheers.

yes... that was first thing i tried: this method doesn't work for getting exact note values.

No idea, I'd probably hunt for their traces in %appdata%, %localappdata%, documents folder, c:\programdata\, registry and then cleanup + re-install. Or wait for support reply :D

this is a problem, which can be solved best by contacting Rene

Help me out here, what is the best way to add vibrato to a patch from the modwheel?

Add the modwheel to the mod matrix and assign it to the "Vib Amount"?

If so, how in the heck do I get the vibrato rate to be quantized to my DAW? Seems like I can only adjust the rate in Hz... That's not what I need for some sick modwheel vibrato! :'(
A heaping dose of outrageously goofy synth tracks, scores and chiptunes.

Assign a synced LFO to the Transpose knob, keep the mod matrix depth to zero then assign the MW to LFO modulation depth (the new entry will be yellow colored, and give it a value of 10-15) and you're done.

Mod Env - question about fine tuning the points

I'm creating some mod envelopes and there's a point I want to be 50% (on the y axis). For the life of me I can't get it on 50, it will sit just about 50 by a few cents and just below. Any ideas how I can get it fine tuned spot on?
(I tired shift+drag, no luck) Theres a horizontal kind of snapping to the grid, but I don't think vertical.

Ah hah! Transpose knob.

Well, can we at least agree that they did not make this very intuitive. Honestly, I feel like vibrato on the modwheel should be a click of a button. even if it just sets this stuff up for me.

Anyway, got it working, thanks for the help!
