Zebra and DIVA see lots of love from the devs at u-he. But Bazille - their most impressive product IMHO - is just collecting dust. It was released in 2014 but is only on version 1.1.

Has anyone heard about any upcoming updates? I'd be very excited to hear of any additional functionality (or improved processing efficiency...) coming to my all-time favorite synth!

Why dont you ask in the u-he forum, you might get an answer from the devs

Zebra is *way* older and *way* more in need of some updates than the more recent stuff, imo...

What's Bazille missing?

Hey I am thinking about getting Bazille in light of the group buy for some awesome presets for it. Why do you think it is their most impressive product?

Thanks! :)

I can't even think of what you'd want to add to Bazille.

well I think it is something you could take care of, better presets. I think the factory sounds are terrible.

Well I already put out a library for Bazille.

Hehehe, neither Diva nor Zebra have seen feature updates since we released Bazille. They're both due for it though.

I think Bazille is the most beloved synth internally at u-he headquarters and I can think of many ways to improve it. However, currently we're in the midst of something else so I can't elaborate much.

I'd love to see visualisation of the modulation on the destination knob arc like Reaktor Blocks has.

All kinds of stuff could be added to Bazille. It's just a question of fitting it in without making it bloated, or having to completely redesign the UI around swapping optional modules around, so it starts to resemble something like Reaktor instead.

For instance, something I've kind of wanted is a simple delay, to build a Karplus-Strong patch for instance.

You guys just need to be more creative, there is always room for improvement :hihi:

Just off the top of my head, in no particular order:

- More modulatable parameters (e.g., individual EG/ramp stages, LFO symmetry, stack voices)
- Improved processing efficiency
- FX modulation
- Manual LFO/EG retrig
- More FX
- More upper waveshapes
- More pan mod sources (e.g., noise)
- Selectable cable tension (the droop needlessly obscures the GUI in more complex patches)
- The ability to route gates and triggers freely
- The ability to modulate modulation amounts :tu:
- The ability to load ALL parameters (like seq steps, stack voices) into Live – I think these are MIDI mappable from within Bazille, but not Live can’t recognize them for some reason…)

I can't speak to the coding difficulty, but all these changes could be made without overhauling the GUI, which is awesome. Long live gearporn!

You can modulate modulation amounts using the multiples

One of the things I would like most is some of the stuff from Hive. Module presets for Osc's and Sequencer and Mod Mappers, copy/paste of Osc's (inputs not outputs)
