YAY! I could reload my project and it seems to run just fine! :hyper: ....I was so scared!
...this is oddly comforting! :hihi:

Thus far I really totally went for mono tracks and I'm really enjoying what's happening! :phones:

Here is new beta version.

I changed lots codes very quickly.
It might have some mistakes.
And new GUI is still in the middle of making,
so some features are not available.

Please test it.

Thank you.
I tested and this beta seems to resolve my issue with Reaper/Wine. Apart from that see the other thread bjporter linked to for what has changed.

Would be cool to link the stuff, I can't find that message and also the other bj link. Btw: Invalid or deleted file?! ;)

Well... I'll spend another hour to get my bassdrum fixed. I'm unhappy with the pops, cos I thing the song itself is not too bad and the bassdrum don't meet the conditions of the song. :(

Getting a very consistent kick is hard (==impossible, at least for me). 9 out of 10 are OK, then one will be a click. Odd. Anyone got a consistent patch to share???

Cheers,

I have some interesting ones, but consistency appears rather impossible, as far as I can tell.
Using the lfo with reset and proper rate and phase offset can yield some interesting results!

One thing to watch out for is to use the DC correction before you use any external EQ or anything. In fact, hook the HY-Mono directly in the WG Doffset before you do anything else. This greatly reduces the clicks.

Another nice trick to hide inconsistent clicking is to add another instance of HY-Mono with only a tiny noise attack. It makes the kick sound more natural on top of hiding erratic attacks of just the kick's body.

Hi folks,

seems to be many early finishes this month :ud:
including mine.

https://soundcloud.com/carl_saved/carl-saved-rescue-me

Track is made in Ableton Live 9 with 71 instances of HY-Mono :wheee: many of them for layering, stereo doubling and polyphony. All effects are Live native:

Audio FX:
Compressor
EQ Eight
Reverb (no modulation)
Auto Filter (no modulation)
Utility
Ping Pong Delay
Simple Delay

Other Devices:
Instrument Rack
Arpeggiator
Pitch

Automation: volumes, EQ band gain, panning, MIDI stuff

Could be in the end we should tell wich version of HY-Mono we used ;-) (i used 1.1)

That's awesome, Carl! Love your drumset! :hyper:

Thanks. I'd already got to the idea of using the noise to help out. I'll stick the DC offset thing in ... had to do it before for another synth, can't remember which now.

On and on ... still got to decide on genre yet ...

I'm using EVERY piece of advice so far... very helpful... keep 'em coming :tu:
In particular, using the inverse modulation of the attack phase is great for a kick transient. Lowering the freq a bit seems to mask the free running osc variability. The standard reso kick approach is good for the kick body as well as my starting point for tom and snare bodies. Going to try the noise hit transient trick next!

Alright, since we're posting early this month :hihi: ...here's my first draft:

https://soundcloud.com/taronium/sparkly ... cepipeline

OSC#95 (HY-Mono):
"Constructing the Sparkly-Rainbow-Juice-Pipeline" (v1.5)

HY-Mono instances: 29
DAW: MuLab (http://www.mutools.com)

DAW FX:Vintage Echo 2, Vintage Echo 1, 4 Band EQ, 2 Band EQ, Lowpass, simple echo, tight room, delay_cross, binaural, Mid_Side Processor

3rd party FX:WG Doffset, Auburn Sounds Panagement(free), OTT, LoudMax64, SlickHDR, Ambience64, OrilRiver, DJMFilter, Old Skool Verb, SPAN

...as hyakken is still improving stuff, I might go over everything again, but I've already had some fun with this one. Just imagine a sparkly-rainbow-juice well and the little munchkins of the land decide to build a pipeline to get all the sparkly goodness into the big munchkin metropolis... :scared:  ...I could've made it a bit more sinister, couldn't I?! :ud:

Well these early submissions certainly set the bar high :o

I'm still struggling with the kick drum, I can't seem get rid of the carton box sound.

Yah, it's freaking rough. I mean, you can hear in my track that I essentially gave up and left it how it is now. The main kick is actually 3 instances and it's been the most effort out of all the sounds by a great margin! But there's no way to create real consistency, as far as I can tell. I already thought about a gray zone compromise of using a delay without decay, hahahaha, but opted against it. It's alive! :tantrum:

Sounds like this month's is a real challenge. Big props to you my friend for taking it on.
