So... would I be able to use Boogex or Amplitube on this (without the modulation)? I thought we could use Boogex on this usually (unless I'm mistaken), but since we can use commercial FX.. I figure why not Amplitube? And not for the effects.. for the amp & speakers
I read more than post = I listen more than I talk

Change of plans: I'm gonna be using Sytrus instead of Synth1, but since I pretty much finished my Synth1 track, I'll just touch it up and submit that if nothing comes of the Sytrus track.
It's very tasty, I swear!

my contibution to the osc 98.
for the any one synth I chose VacuumPro by Air, a synth i own but haven't really used, still wanted the challange and learning experience of using something new.

It got really cheesy this month and I had a real problem stopping in time... so.

Hi folks,

As I was creating sounds for Synth1, I thought why not enter this OSC with some of them? I tried some emulation stuff ;-) (thanks to Photonic for a good starting point on piano in his "Signal Lost" presets).
As study starts again tomorrow, I am glad to get this one done.

15 instances of Synth1 in Live 9
Almost no external FX thanks to built-in ones:
only Ableton's Limiter on Master and Kjaerhus' Classic Reverb on plucked strings.

Enjoy!

As choice of synth is free, I am looking forward to a variety of sounds from you guys. :hyper: :phones:
Edit: As you can hear, no percussion from me this time

Hi folks. This NOT my submission (please note BJ!). But ... my guys in the band have been warming up with a little freeform jazz using Synth1. They are expecting to come up with a nice cool jazz song by the end of the month, but have been exercising their chops and drumkit with a little bit of structured doodling. They have been bashing my ears to let you hear what they have been up to - everyone else in the house says, just "get it outa here - we can't stand it", so here it is, unleashed for all to hear.

For those who have been to these sessions, I hope you like it. I know most here will find it harsh, dischordant, unstructured, etc ...

The percusionist apologies, but he forgot his bag of bubblewrap to jump on to get that popping sound - yes I have seen and heard that too! In freeform sessions, he likes to walk round the kit, pushing and shoving it, letting cymbal lie on the sides of the drums to get that "extra hit" - he's an animal!

Enjoy, and be patient, they can play and will hopefully come up with something a little more "standard"!

For those of us using CPU heavy synths and doing drums: can we bounce the sounds to audio and use them with the DAW sampler? for example inside a drumrack/simpler in Live?

No.

Sampling is not allowed, unfortunately. However, you can freeze whole tracks to save CPU. I know, It's annoying, because you can't change them while frozen ... had to do that once myself (that's why I like light Synths such as Synth1!) The reason is, that with sampled drums we could achieve consistent sounds that would often not be possible with rendering each drum hit with the synth. But the result must be one, that could have been achieved rendering the whole thing "live", using no samples at all.

What? WHAT? another anysynth challenge? Just checked in and saw this. Gotta compete! Get ready for Sytrustrack.
