This is my wishlist of old (and very old) synths which have no emulation at all (I mean... excellent emulation!) and that I would really like to see realize in an hypothetical future day:
  • Analogue Systems Sorcerer
  • Aries 300
  • ARP 2500
  • ARP OMNI MK2
  • ARP PRO-Soloist (the 32-bit version Pro SoloVst made by AM Music Technology was excellent but a bit dated now)
  • ARP PRO-DGX
  • ARP Quadra
  • Buchla 200 (good luck for the developer who will try to emulated it !)
  • Crumar Multiman-S / Orchestrator
  • Crumar Spirit
  • Crumar Trilogy
  • EKO Computerythm
  • Eminent Solina P275
  • Eminent Solina 310U
  • EML ElectroComp Model 101
  • Fairlight CMI
  • Farfisa M200
  • Farfisa Melanie deLuxe
  • Farfisa Polychrome
  • Farfisa Soundmaker
  • Farfisa Syntorchestra
  • Kawai K5
  • Korg DW-8000
  • Korg Poly-800
  • Korg Lambda ES50
  • Korg Mini-Pops 120 (also Univox SR-120)
  • Korg MS-50
  • Korg MS2000
  • Korg PS-3100/3200/3300
  • Rhodes Chroma
  • Rhodes Chroma Polaris
  • (Roland) Ace Tone ACE 3000
  • Roland Jupiter-4
  • Roland Jupiter-6
  • Roland RS-505 Paraphonic Strings
  • Roland SH-5
  • Roland SH-7
  • Roland TB-303 (Ha ! Ha ! I'm kidding !)
  • Sequential Circuits MultiTrak
  • Sequential Circuits Prophet T8
  • Sequential Circuits Prophet VS
  • Sequential Circuits TOM
  • Siel Cruise
  • Technics SX-U90S
  • Teisco SX-240
  • Wurlitzer 550/555 (with Orbit III)
  • Wurlitzer 575 (with Orbit III)
  • Wurlitzer 805 (with Orbit III)
  • Wurlitzer 950 (with Orbit III)
  • Yamaha Electone Organ D-85
  • Yamaha GX-1
  • Yamaha SK-30
  • Yamaha SK-50D
  • Yamaha SY20
(as you can see I have also included some very complex organs which could also merit a software emulation)

If some of these keyboards above already exist in excellent emulations and I would have missed these emulations... tell me, because I would be extremely interested! Whatever the price!

Yes, a hardware emulation of Dexed, for example, would be very interested !
:hihi:

More seriously... not talking about Deputy Mark II, Diva, Modelonia, Oxium... which would be certainly wonderful hardware keyboards.

Where do we start. :hihi:

Has been emulated in Reaktor several times: Eminent V 310 Strings Ensemble Mk II.

The Interrupter Night Flight is very impressive and cheap.

Loomer String is good but somewhat more expensive.

Would be nice if Arturia did one. For me, the Reaktor ensemble one is the best (and free) but you have to use it with the paid version of Reaktor otherwise it goes into demo mode.

No, no... what they emulate is only the strings-synth part of the Eminent 310U. The full instrument is much, much, much more than that.

It has a nice basic sound, the sound from 1:10 on sounds prototypically analog to me.

Yeah, nice, very eighties. Some very nice tones in it too.
uses CEM Filter chips and sounds very much like the chroma polaris and AX80.

Oberheim Matrix 6 is the only one I care about. And if someone just wanted to sample the Matrix 1000 I would buy it.

All Ensoniq. Make America great again!

Sorry. I just had to add that in there. :hihi:

Going to start emulating now

Post

Our list of synths we are going for:

Octave Cat (possibly with factory upgrades), this one is very likely to happen
Oberheim OB-1 and/or SEM in the context it was meant for, there's a great concept for this.
Moog Prodigy (not sure if and when)
Korg 700/770/800 (might not be viable, market-wise)
EDP Wasp (that one neither, not sure)

However, after Repro-1 we have decided that we'll never do a 1:1 emulation without adding considerable modifications - I feel a bit "been there, done that" now. It made sense for the Pro-One, but for most other synths it'd be a tad boring.

Not sure if it is classic or vintage but I wish someone emulate Alesis Andromeda. This is the only analogue synth which actually interests me.
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

I personaly only want to see polyphonic Prophet (wich seems to be comming), for the rest just doesnt seem that interesting :)

+1

Actually the Andromeda is in my own TOP 5 for creating an emulation since while...

An emulation of the Alesis Ion or Micron (which has a similar engine) would be great too. The engine also semed to be re-used with Akai Miniak. I had a Micron ages ago.
