An experiment.

If you could pick two VSTs to combine into just one VST with all the features of both, which two would they be?

My two would be Softube Modular and Zebra 2

Discuss.

I'd like to have the sound of Charlatan in Dune CM. :P

Not sure if i understand the topic though. Is it the "Train wreck "Free" VST Thread", or is it the ""Train wreck free" VST Thread"?
Good synths don't have a sweet spot. They ARE the sweet spot.

I'm probably being stupid, and you mean the latter of course anyway though. :D Anything else wouldn't make sense in the context anyway.

Well, for me, it'd be Waldorf Largo and Native Instruments Monark then. With all the features of both. :) Plus polyphony for Monark.

32bit + 64bit version of this plugin resulting in an incredible 96bit monster.

Hmm, I see where you're going with this. My two would be Absynth 5 and Harmor. I'd like to see the quality of Harmor's sound engine and additive synthesis and whacky features, combined with Absynth's various synthesis types and features. Pure crystal clear bliss.

Tone2 Icarus + U-He Diva

Mostly the GUI of Icarus with modules of Diva added for oscillators, filters (as modes in both Icarus multimode filters) and also different envelope modes (analog, digital etc.).
Different Sync/FM from Diva might be added as morph modes in Icarus like those just added with Icarus v1.5.

Of course with this combination also analog modeled oscillators should be possible to mix with digital wavetable oscillators.

Kontakt 5 + Omnisphere 2...

...or at least compatibility with each other's patches/presets... :D
I fought the DAW, and the DAW won.
