Saw neither. Clicked on yer youtube link. That is very nice. I recognized Thomas Newman some time ago as a tall talent. Whole family gifted it seems like.

I like the beginning of that where we find the rare successful integration of harmony with a real mode. Dorian mode. But everything is there that's beautiful about the mode but he moves with harmony, subtle harmony and then other things happen.
