Sorry to be a dimwit - late at night ...

Where is the "famous Peter H drumkit" ??? I am possibly needing a lot of perc elements and some starting points would be great ...

Many many thanks for sharing stuff so far - I'll drop up anything I think I have made which might be of interest ...

Cheers,

I find that volume automation seems to help with the clicks.

The fundamental volume control is turning out to be very useful. Nice feature.

Aha found it thanks. One level of re-direction! Neat stuff Peter, but decided to "roll my own" (hear some in next post!) ... much more fun! But still, thanks for sharing, you're all stars!

Following in the footsteps of the Doctor here.

I've been messing about with the Fathom in the past week. I've decided not to participate in this month's challenge, though.

But here is my unfinished track this month using Fathom. Use it for inspiration. Or as a cautionary tale! Whichever serves your purpose

All sounds from scratch, no other vst's apart from eq.

schiing.. that's seriously cool.

Tweak the mix a bit, and you're done. 8)

schiingon is just one of those dudes......
Just a touch of EQ and a tickle of compression

How do you map an oscillator to a key? ie closed hat osc to key 1, open hat osc to key 2?

Heh, thanks progtronic & TheNeverScene! I definitely needed to empty my head a little this month to keep my sanity, so when French Horns, trombones, solo violins, cellos, arpeggios and guitar solos started roaming in my head I knew I had to abandon ship and make a binding public statement about it!

Assign each osc volume to its own keytracing modulator ( set volume to zero )
In the keytracking increase segments to three.
raise the middle segment a bit to seperate it from the others
reduce the width to one note and position that to be on the note you want.
raise the level of that segment as your volume
you can also raise it all the way up and use the keytracking mod intensity as your volume.

repeat for other oscillator using different keytracking modulator and note.

I hope that makes sense.

Thanks Scrubbing Monkeys, it does. More work than I hoped, but it is what it is. Maybe a cut and dry global key map would be a nice addition in the future. Or a per oscillator "turn on keymapping" that has it's own built in parameters.

After setting this up, it's actually pretty cut and dry :) Just seemed a bit off the beaten path at first.
