My entry - Gin and Juce (no it's not a hip hop song)

https://soundcloud.com/user-947450193/g ... uce-osc110

Set it aside for a while, listened again and nothing else came to mind, therefore it's done! I did use EQ to soften some of the sharp edges, but hopefully left enough behind to preserve the character of the synth. Any rough edges are intentional.

36 instances of JuceOPL

Non-DAW effects: Limiter 6, OldSkoolVerb, Ozone Image, Dimension Expander

Man, welcome to my last 4 or 5 months....the OSC will bring you to your knees and you'll end up on meds. Too many folks that know what they're doing around here....and I'm tired of tying with Zarf haha. Joking, of course :D
Just a touch of EQ and a tickle of compression

I just wanted to quote the largest post I've ever scene here! Aside from Guenon's explanation of his one instance challenge, that rocked, and a few "bitchfests".

Killer tune, too :)

JuceOPL is really a beast.....whether you want to stick with the lo-fi, chiptune, or just push it some place else.

Yep, but as a bonus.. I'm learning a lot.

Wanted to make sure that folks with 4K monitors would be able to see it..

HAHA! I'm on a laptop at the moment, and scroll, scroll some more....oh, there's the end! And with lightning! And yes, I learn a lot from the goings on here too. It's just nice to hear the heavier, more intense side of things.

104 instances=total annihilation. I'm struggling with around 20 on this POS temp rig I've got.....and no, I'm not even going into freezeville....I don't even have a mouse!

Well.. it's impressive what you've done with so few instances, and a gimpy laptop.

JuceOPL is actually really CPU friendly.. at least on my system. I don't think S1's performance meter ever went above 50%, the entire production.

Totally not what you wanna hear from me right now though.. :smack:

Well, here we go again!

I have been on a total dub kick lately so here is my "spacey ambient dub techno" track for this month, Hope you enjoy it :)

It was 12 instances of JuceOPL

All stock Ableton plugins (non modulation) (EQ, Compression, Verb, Delay & Saturation) Third Party: one instance of TRD Nova and Span (both free).

Well, it's that time again... and I'm back from having skipped a month. Now this cute little gem ended up really inspiring me to have one heck of a blast. I had to actually retrain myself, as you will notice later in the song. There was a point where I felt this thing could actually go on for ever or at least 5 more minutes. Anyhow...
There was really just one evil challenge I've had with this one: Mysteriously, every now and then my entire drum sounds would corrupt, but not just in their playback. Something internally would change, which would actually save with the song. So I had to recreate my drums once and then had to save a copy, each time I'd change something, just in case this would happen again. Felt like writing a song under a swinging sword of Damocles, if you know what I mean. Without further ado:

TrojakEW suggested adding back more bass.. totally agree. I'm just really in the habit of stripping out the low end for Metal mixes.

And, I also felt I needed to reduce the highs a bit more.. yet again. :?

Anyway, here's the updated mix:

It is just my opinion and it doesn't mean that I'm right  . BTW what I mean is that I can hear in some of your instruments you cut too much of low frequencies and they sound like they coming from a "radio". Even with new version this ""radio" effect is still here. Hope you understand what I mean.
