Edit: this thread got me started working on the release velocity thing again, and I think I've got it sorted.

Absynth and FM8 were never Reaktor basd. Absynth was designed by Brian Clevinger and NI bought it. Massive was apparently prototyped in Reaktor but built from scratch outside of it for the actual product.dune_rave wrote:Hmmm, which are the best reaktor synths ....

I was just ironic - of course i know absynth and fm8 are not reaktor based.
I am wondering if NI will release any update for their non-reaktor synths...
I bet they won't. They focus only on kontakt and reaktor. And maybe it's ok this way.
Their old synths are really "old", and soon they will have only one advantage - the "low" cpu usage.
Because they use less cpu than the new, next-gen synths that are more modern and have more features.

might be a good idea to narrow down what kind of sounds youre interested in kev, reaktor is everything from bread n butter sounds to crazy experimental. and all of them have a few choices for which is best depending on who you ask.
although, im happy to pick up a few new ones too while the subject is so open.
