"We are very pleased to announce Quanta, our new synthesizer for AAX, AU, VST, VST3, and iOS. Quanta is a 10-voice granular synthesizer built around an incredibly easy-to-use and capable granular engine, with a "sidecar" oscillator that can be used in addition to the granular source, or mixed in with it, or instead of it. Quanta has two multi-mode filters and a cross-platform preset mechanism, and can load AIFF, WAV, Ogg, FLAC, and MP3 format samples."
"Modulation sources? Quanta's got 'em. Quanta features our new Flexible Envelope Generator (FEG)... ...Quanta also has a pair of our new Flexible LFO..."
"We do not have a final price or release date at this time; there are still some things we need to tighten up, and we won't be shipping Quanta until it is solid as a rock. With that said, it won't be long; more than a couple weeks, but less than a couple months, is our best guess."
Get excited.

Looks really nice! Unison too. Looking forward to some examples.
Did Audio Damage ever create a preset browser of their own or are they still relying on the VST loading/saving of presets?

from the blog page:
"In addition, Quanta is fully MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression) capable, and owners of MPE controllers such as the Linnstrument, Haken Continuum, Roli Seaboard and Rise, and Madrona Labs Soundplane can utilize their full expression range. "

Looks great, very nice looking UI - clear and attractive. Features are nice, but I can't help feeling only one grain oscillator is a bit limited in this day and age? Plugs like The Mangle can have a bunch, Padshop has a couple. I know you can do a hell of a lot with one, but for the kind of sound design I'm interested in a couple more wouldn't hurt, this looks similar to Granite to me in features, which is nice but I don't use that often due to that one grain osc limitation Looking forward to trying it out anyway and would probably buy if the price was right.

It definitely looks like it. Maybe they were aware that The Mangle is very popular yet abandonware so spotted an opportunity to 'replace' it. I'm definitely interested - as much as I love The Mangle it somehow feels slightly incomplete to me, and I rarely use more than one sample slot, so definitely interested in trying AD's offering. MPE is a bonus, can imagine some very organic results with Linnstrument + MPE grains...tehlord wrote:I wonder if this has any 'The Mangle' DNA in it.

Wahooo!! A new Audio Damage plugin Looks very interesting. Really looking forward to trying this out. The mod matrix design looks really good - it's layout seems to make it quick and easy to modulate almost all parameters. Quanta seems to have just the right amount of features for me to get creative with.
Windows 10. Asus X99-Pro i7 6950X 10 Core 3GHz (Overclocked to 3.5GHz). Corsair DDR4 64GB Vengeance LPX 2400MHz. RME RayDAT. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970. UAD2 Quad+Octo. Reaper. A couple of plugins.

Amazing. Been wanting a fully MPE granular synth for a while (aside from Grip in the Reaktor library which is a tough interface and high cpu). And dual filters! Will be buying this for sure!
