The Roland XV5080 was a kind of forerunner for the Integra as far as I know. I have one and love it.
They did a Integra vs XV5080 thread on gearsluts a while back

Obviously, you can get the XV a lot cheaper since it around 15 years old now.

How are we supposed to know what we want these days, when we don't even know if we are male or female?Acid Mitch wrote:Why do you want talked out of buying something you want ?
I agree though, for $1500, you better damn know very well if you want it or not. Otherwise, transfer the money to me, i'd be happy to buy a used Virus Dark Star with it.

Thanks for the comments. The big take away for me was the Roland Cloud. I didn't know what it was. I will let it soak for the 30 day free trial and perhaps take the question up again after that. I see no harm in that strategy.

30 day trial, no credit card needed. This much is a no brainer.Michael L wrote:"Can you please talk me out of subscribing to Roland Cloud?"Trevor Jackson wrote:Thanks for the comments. Don't buy a Roland Integra 7 or I'll send nude photos of you to Donald Trump.

Just drink a few (5-10) beers or glasses of wine tonight, open the product website, take your time to watch, listen and read about this fantastic product, and then decide.
No band limits, aliasing is the noise of freedom!

Even for live gigs it's a bit crap because the only place you can have splits/layers between different patches are Studio Sets, and Integra has a whopping amount of 64 user locations for those! Absolutely appalling for any serious live use IMHO.

THISIncarnateX wrote:90% of Roland’s history consists of releases of redundant romplers, which is a farly precise description of the sound arsenal of Integra7. If you love those sounds but cannot afford the original romplers or a machochist enjoying the pain from artificial sounding guitars and pianos “en masse”, it is definitely for you.

Yeah I don't understand why people create stupid threads like these. But am I surprised? Not at all. I used to work in a shop a long time ago. Some came in and if I didn't decide what they should buy they got upset. They demanded me to know what was best for them. So many people are sheeps.Acid Mitch wrote:Why do you want talked out of buying something you want ?
