Does that make Twist not entirely shite or is it a neck-and-neck thing?ghettosynth wrote:To be serious for a moment, I'm going to nominate Sonivox Wobble. Here I'm using the metric of "amount of suck per retail price dollar."

Fat as hell. Trust me, I've heard a lot worse.Examigan wrote:Just in case no one has heard of it...martinjuenke wrote:We are in a sweat and waiting for new toys.
In the mean time I would like to know:
What‘s the worst instrument plugin ever
(besides This Plugin and One-Ping-Only)?
It‘s a pity that there is no emulation of the famous Timbre Wolf!

I haven’t tried it yet, but there’s also the Sonivox Stratum. Maybe it’s ok, just over priced, but that GUI...

Makes you wonder what the presenter has been smoking, noddling such an unmusical bullcr** for the demos.
Still not my favorite synth, but, an awful lot better than that "i need another hour for warming up", or pressing random keys.

Oh, it's pretty much neck and neck. Maybe Twist is the worst, we should try and sort this out. What does either of them have going that's actually redeeming?Gamma-UT wrote:Does that make Twist not entirely shite or is it a neck-and-neck thing?ghettosynth wrote:To be serious for a moment, I'm going to nominate Sonivox Wobble. UTAU, if only because of all the hoops you have to jump through to even get it running, because its quality varies incredibly wildly from voicebank to voicebank, because most advanced documentation is in Japanese, because it has the learning curve of a cliff, and also because its been discontinued for a long time now:

Let's be honest, any plugin that claims to be the ultimate dubstep instrument is going to fall pretty short. Although having said that, I seem to remember a friend of mine actually managed to find some use for it.ghettosynth wrote:To be serious for a moment, I'm going to nominate Sonivox Wobble. That's free with some controllers. So you can't say "they can't give it away" ... because they did find a way to give it away.ghettosynth wrote:To be serious for a moment, I'm going to nominate Sonivox Wobble. Here I'm using the metric of "amount of suck per retail price dollar."

That timber wolf synth should have got Thiago Pinheiro to do the demo, he could have made it cool. I actually go watch the lounge lizard vst video just to watch him play lol
