Jens, I wasn't around during that time but I see that Jon at ConcreteFX was. You or anyone else could have emailed or PM'd me but chose not to. That doesn't show much initiative on anyone's part, although I did get a few emails asking specific questions and songs. No one specifically said there were problems and quite frankly, it wouldn't have killed anyone upset to have asked off list since I wasn't here.

Now that the problem has been addressed you choose to argue, which I find unnecessary and arguing for the sake of argument. There's a license of a great synth up for grabs, why can't people talk about that rather than getting all beside themselves. Another synth will be made available after this contest and throughout the year. We can argue and delay or move on, accept a mistake was made and try to get onto the business of trying to make a good song (of any length folks, not just 90 seconds). Further response will only be addressed if you PM or email me presuming you want to discuss my terrible nature and horrid display of annoyance.

being a bit touchy?

I merely replied to your (false) statement that these questions haven't been brought up before.

Jon wrote in the thread that (as he couldn't answer them himself) he wanted to pass the questions on to you thus logically I assumed that you had indeed been informed. Also I couldn't know that you hadn't been around.

Neither did it want to discuss this nor do I think these issues are a big problem.

Also I don't remember having you atacked personally in any way other than that I proved a statement
you made being wrong. If people wouldn't be allowed to do this the logical conclusion would be that your words aren't worth anything. I beg to differ though. ;-)

jens, let's just say everthing is cool, ok?

I'm working on a bunch of things at the same time. If anyone is a Project 5 user I need to spend some time discussing your thoughts and comparing them to mine. Look for a discussion on all-in-one studios in the late 1st quarter or early 2nd quarter. Also, we'll have a radio station at musicFAQ soon, trying to work out the best way of working it out. As we get files from the contests we'll have them on a playlist and also offer a listing of everything available from musicFAQ which will be a lot. I have hours of Orion music with it's synths and other VST instruments.

Had I seen the 2nd post you made I wouldn't have bothered with mine, the one about not trying to be personal. Hope that explains things and maybe it is a good lesson to make sure what someone says after you've posted in case the situation has changed.

In that time I was talking with a guy who might be able to bring the site about 20 reviews of his own. They are very good and he'd be a tremendous asset to musicFAQ or any site. Best of all he contacted us. :)

I'm also working on some reviews I owe TRAX!!!

I need an agent.

... :o

Kubik is great! I am SO going to win this contest - nothing can withstand the power of Kubik's wavesequencing !!! :D oh wait everyone else in the contest will be using Kubik too :(

How come I didn't realize wavesequencing was so amazing before. I mean, I can't really control the synth yet, but when I do get a wavesequence up and running it's like "Wizzour wizzour wizzour" or possibly "Wii zzz ooouuu rrrr Wiii zzz ouuu rrr". And that's just really cool.

I like the format of the contest as well - it's fun doing an all-Kubik (plus Rock for when I need something Rockish plus drums) total war. I wish the deadline were sooner :(

Hi there

Just writing to apoolgosie for any confusion caused by the date change , to be honest it was a mistake on my part , so sorry for problems caused by it (doh!)

Hopefully the extend period will allow more people to enter the competition , the enteries we have had so far have been really good and I'm really excited by what people have managed to get out of Kubik , and I'm sure that any other enteries would be equally excellent

Happy New Yaar

Cheers

Jon : COFX

Just a though we didn't call it Kubik Komposition Kontest or something, the acroynm would have be very bad :)

The site should have reflected the change, I don't know why it didn't but it does and has since the 5th of this month.

In any case, it should be a good chance to win Kubik and for whoever gets it, they will definately be happy with the skin in progress. It's Jon's best work and is quite inviting.

Good luck doing a compreshensive update, Jon. That'll take up a spot of time. I do hope you go the new direction as you've always had the goods but not as much the shiny package. With everything you should have a synth that'll probably replace my PPG Wave 2.v for the most part.

Avast (must stop talking like a pirate) .

I hate my Outlook Express :( . Came down this morning to find the Outlook Express had deleted the folder which contained all the competition enteries , I've still got the .dbx file but I've download about half a dozen different programs and none can get the data. Anyone has any ideas for recovering emails from dbx files ?

So sorry to ask this , but could anyone who has entered the Kubik competition , please resend me either their mp3 or the link to their competition enteries , my apologies once again about this

Cheers

maybe try this: http://www.mailnavigator.com/repair_dbx_files.html

Thanks for the tip , but I've tried that and when I try to load in the dbx file , nothing comes back . It is similar for all the other programs I've tried, I know there is something in the dbx file (it's 8mb) , but every program comes back that it's corrupted or it does find any emails :(

I'm just scanning my computer at the moment with various virus / spyware detections progams just to make sure there isn't something unpleasent causing this , it might just be a computer glitch but it's still very annoying

Cheers
