The "shocker" can only be done on a woman... so I don't see how it could be homoerotic unless TobyBear is also a woman.

I have to agree the tobybear remark was a bit tasteless
although I also agree you are entitled to your opinion
so you'll not be getting the even more tasteless barrage of personal attacks and innuendos from me.
there's already enough of that crap floating around
I have a nagging suspicion you've never tried tobybears delay devil plug-in
it is IMHO one damn good fx vst,to me one of the best delays out there
well worth the price
I'd also like to add that although it's nice that your thread pointed out some lesser known vst
the whole idea of creating a 'best of' is a bit tacky
anyone who takes the time to create vst plug-ins
and then offer them freely for musicians to make use of is a winner in my book.
it's a forum for devs and musicians
not a 'miss universe' pageant

Tobybear's plugs do tend to sound useless; consume way too much resources and feature ugly GUI's.

I don't claim to have any authority here whatsoever, which is why in the first line of my post I quite plainly said so ("no clout"), and then I immediately followed that with the rest of the post is all "opinion". "Class" is a quality based upon discretion which in turn is based upon opinion which really turns this whole damnable argument into a case of polemics biased by a severe ad hominem stance. In other words, it's useless.
As for what I have done to help out in the realm of music and music software, I've posted tons of free music online (much of it here) which can be found via the link in my sig, and I have about 500 posts worth of LINKS to many free VSTs and all their developer's websites over in the music software section of the extremely popular electronic music forum Dark Sonus ( http://www.darksonus.com/ ), which means I did a hell of a lot of free advertisement for many many many of the freeware (and buyware) developers that frequent this site.
I presented my awards here not as a reason for instigation, but rather as an example, minus the Toby Bear bit of course. And I say again, I meant no personal harm towards him whatsoever, I'm sure he's a great guy, I just don't dig his plugs much.
