Hi Tim.
EDIT-Woops...not a vst.Didn`t notice you said that.
I believe this will fill your needs.
It`s perfect for auditioning .wav/mp3 without much screen real estate.
Also has browser and faves folders in it.
A few more features as well."Free"
Two of it`s three sections,(all shown in pix),can be hidden, showing for example just the middle list section.
Click on .wav name in list and it plays/loops.

Not sure if I got you right, but I do it in two ways:
1-Sfz or Wave!; you must have an instance for each .wav
2-SR-202 (if mono waves are OK). That's the main use I have for SR-202: to trigger samples.

Eventually something intelligent will appear written here. Watch this space.

I want to use it on Receptor, and Receptor does not have a built in sequencer ( yet)Sascha Franck wrote:Probably a very dumb question, but why don't you just import the files into your sequencer of choice?
so basically I can load VST's that have Arpegiators built in, or 16 step sequencers, but wanted to experiment with loading waves or MP3's in, as a background to Jam to. ( for live usage)

Here`s a few nifty vst devices of this genre.
"TapeIt"
Insert as a vst effect.
It will record whats playing on that channel/track...and will play it back,or create a file.(also a free version 1 on same page)
http://www.silverspike.com/tapeit.html
"ChannelGrabber"
Insert as vst effect.
It will record whats playing on that channel/track...and create a file.
