All instruments hardware or VST introduce latency. In a proper host with proper plug-in delay compensation, all your software will stay in sync while the hardware will have a bit of a delay as it is not compensated as a plug-in. The new Virus TI connects to your DAW via USB and communicates through a VST plug-in controller/audio router. This plug-in reports the latency of the Virus to your DAW host so the hardware is PDC'ed like a plug-in.shamann wrote:You guys are easy to please.
I'm a bit confused by this. So, they plan on bussing audio via USB? Does that mean that the A/D conversion will be done by your audio card in those instances? Because if you're routing the audio out, how do you route it back in with the VST effects still altering the sound?
He also mentions sample accurate playback, but doesn't USB automatically add at least some latency?

yeah and in reaktor there's no limit and in es-2 and exs24 i often use 32 voice unison.. :SKire wrote:I'm very dissapointed about that hypersaw-sound! It sounds thin compared to what I can do in VAZ Modular!
Maybe it can sound better when you hear it in real life but in the video it sounds thin and completely boring!
Make a doubble-supersaw in Vaz Modular and then turn on unison with about 8 voices! Now we talk real hypersaw!!!!
Best regards,
Kire
I don't get what's so new and cool about that virus..
.. hum, does the host automatically remember vaz's settings or do you have to save the patch as in reaktor?
