so i got battery 2 loaded on a midi track in ableton live 4.0.4. and 2 cells containing a snare and a hihat. these are mapped to c1 and c#1 in live's piano roll.

the problem i'm having is that the hihat (c#1) does't respond to velocity changes. tha sample plays the same whatever how high/low i draw the velocity line. the snare (c1) does. so... i've tried changing the two cells and now the snare is mapped to c#1 and the the hat to c1. and again, the hat doesn't respond to velocity changes.

is it the weirdest thing or what?
anybody got any ideas?

Hay wassup. The modulation setting must have gotten erased on accident. Each cell should have a modulation setting of (Velocity-Volume) in the modulation router. So click on the cell thats not responding, then click on the the mod tab, then in the modulation router choose Velocity from the first drop down menu, and Volume from the second drop down menu. That will allow you to hear velocity changes.
