Years ago I was lucky enough to have a go on an old Sequential Pro One, and one of the things that blew me away was the arp/sequencer thing. It seemed that you could press a button, record (by step time I guess) some notes on the keyboard, press the button again and the phraze was stored. You then could hit any key and the phraze would play, transposed to whatever key you hit. The best bit was that if you changed the key the sequence would carry on (i.e. not retrigger from the beginning of the sequence) but still tranpose to the key to moved to. Very inspiring and gorgeous.
Now I know z3ta+ can do something similar using the mid2arp thing (dunno about the sequence carrying on) but the way of achieving that is not really geared for messing about like above. Anyone know of any VSTi that does what the Pro One did?

Hi GunarkThe "Dream Sequencer" plugin on my site plays how you describe, but the sequence is programed using knobs that are semitone quantized, like the old moog modular sequencer.
Its free by the way.

Don't search no further ... you found it. You are asking for the Phrasemaster Mk1. It does exactly what you want plus many more.
