Peter,

"and in the end put izotope ozone to make it sound clearer"

what does it mean? how you use ozone to makes things clearer?

Post

Ozone is a mastering plugin. There are some producers who use it on individual instruments. It has reverb, exciters, stereo tools, compression a whole bunch of tools that can be used to process sounds to make them in to what ever you need. You can probably do everything it does with the tools you have aready.

Once you get the notes right the most important part is getting the eq and reverb the rest is just seasoning!

how do you guys get the sound to act like a tapestop? pitchbend? I'm terrible in automating the pitchbend so it sounds right. How far down do you guys often do to create this effect? -12 semitones down or what? and most important, WHERE do you put the pitchbend in your leads? in the end of a note? it's very common in modern dancemusic today. House uses it all the time for example.

I'd like to know! cheers for the tips :)

Yes i did it with the Glitch plugin. You can get better results with legato i think.

But that is more work because you have to edit the midi of each channel individually.

Post

I have effectrix but no idea on how to create the tapestop effect so any help would be appreciated.

Is anyone willing to do a in depth response on how to make this actual sound. I have tried both Peter's and [0_0} replies but I have came nothing close to the original sound or to theirs. Please help out it would be awesome.
