Can anybody point me in the right direction as to how to achieve the percussive type pluck in the drop of this track at 1:00
Or similarly in their collab with 3lau - Vikings.

I would love to find out as well! I'm guessing it's some kind of snare with a tonne of effects on it.

Hey guys!
I got pretty close in sylenth for this one.
Actually it's all about a really short decay on the amp envelope and some weird phaser settings.
I just took a simple saw wave -2 octaves, moved the amp envelope to about 1.55 and added some overdrive within sylenth.
Also, it's super essential to have a pitch envelope going on with even less decay time to get the sound really plucky.
In the mixer channel I added some distortion as well as a tiny bit of multiband compression.
But this really crazy effect on the pluck is, as i said before, a phaser or even a filter (e.g sugerbytes wow filter)
I got really close by taking fl's own phaser, moved the feedback up a little and I set the dry/wet at about 45%.
Most important for getting a static phaser sound is to have the min. and max. depth on the same level.
Hope I could help
