Been trying to create kicks like this for a while.
I know it's a 909 with a very stripped out setting...
the question is what are they running it through.
I've tried several digital pedals and racks with : Overdrive,distortion,fuzz,saturation,bitcrushing.
But I cannot get it to sound in this spectrum.
Any pointers or tips for this kind of distortion on the kickdrum and or bassdrum techno style.
What's a good signal chain for this.

To me that sounds like a 909 overdriven into a Mackie mixer. Extremely common and positively lush
