Yo guys,
Does anyone know how to make these swedish sound drops?
https://soundcloud.com/marcus-santoro/3 ... ro-bootleg
https://soundcloud.com/jakkomusic/nothi ... o-remake-1
Please don't tell me, saw bass, saw lead, and some chords. It way more complex.
I would like to know how to achieve a bass, chords (arp) and leads ike them ?
Thanks guys,
Alex

What synth do you work with mostly? I know it's considered "cheating" in the sound design forum but getting a nice preset pack for Sylenth off Beatport Sounds will save you a lot of time and you can use it as a starting point to learn more. After all you have songs and melodies in your head so it's best to get them out asap. Listen to some of these demos and find some that suit your desired sound set. http://sounds.beatport.com/style/presets-patches/51
Also you will have to spend some time learning about eq, effects, and compression if you don't know already. Hope that helps.

Do you do Youtubes? https://www.youtube.com/c/djpuzzle

Ok , I'll try to help you , but I would like to see what you did .
So for the bass you could use just a saw tooth or sine wave , throw a little bit of distortion if you want (sausage fattener is great for this) and take off some of the high frequencies and also some low end(50hz would be ok) , put a sidechain on it. Now these drops sounds so big because the way they play the melodies and also because of the whitenoise and fx , so try to play around and see what you get .For the arp you can try it out to get some different sounding arps (everybody is sounding the same these days) also put some sidechain on it , saw tooth and square , here's a tutorial by jakko himself
PS: As I said before , post some results here of what you got
here's the tutorial for the arp..
