Roland EG 101

Just got this on Ebay. Thought it would make a nice stage performance synth as well as a decent MIDI controller. I wonder how it holds up these days.

I have one of those as well. Fun synth. The "sequencer" is crap, but there are some very usable sounds. I particularly like the strings, organ, and vibraphone.

I was gonna use it for lead synth duties on stage as well as a Midi controller/bedroom/sketchpad keyboard! I also have the Midi Quest Librarian which really unlocks all those hidden parameters! With Live 7+ Midi Quest, it starts to look a lot more powerful! It's not quite a Virus, but for $290, I ain't complaining!

Can anyone simply explain the midi channels and the assignements to me on the EG ... Im very new to all this .. And i actually work this into my set up ... I Eg... Emx 1... Monologue... Volca keys, bass, and beats and a zoom r16 mixer... Thank you !
