Can someone explain to me the mod you can do to the A-80 to make the aftertouch more usable, please. Or provide a link to somewhere that does. I havn't been able to find any info about it through google and Roland hasn't replied to my email. Thanks.

Replace 5.6k resistor R43 on Main A board with a 10k resistor.

I have had the same problem, and i make some tests with the resistors.
The original resistor R43 from my A80 was a 10Kohm.
It does not works.
You should replace the resistor R43 on Main A board with a 50k resistor.
Or a potentiometer 0-100K, with the original R43-resistor in serial.
Before you have to clean all aftertouch sensors (88) on the after touch PCB.
This is a very difficult work.
But after this work, you have a Roland A-80 with an excellent Polyphonic aftertouch.
You can it play with all your fingers from your hand.
I hope it will help you
