I am still looking for a midi keyboard and things are not looking good.
Here is what i am looking for:
Something that puts out the full range of velocity values, from 0 to 127 and everything in between.
At this point i don't care about action or build quality, only about velocity values.
Unfortunaly there is very little information about this out there.
If some of you folks have some time to spare you could download this litte tool select your midi controller and test it.
Play your favourite piece of music or if that doesn't work just press a few keys over and over again trying to get the full range from 0 to 127.
Then make a screenshot and post it here.
I am sure this can be helpful to other people too.

I am using an M-Audio Keystation 61es.
I'm getting everything except 114, 117 and 124.
I have to really pound on it to get above around 122.
I use a velocity remapper (not used in this test) to make it easier to get the higher velocities.

You're right. Here is something for continuous controller messages.Tony Ostinato wrote:itd be cool to see the same utility for all the other controller parameters like breath and pitch bend etc
And thanks to everyone who provided results. Hopefully there will be more.

but isnt it like trying to press a small dot with your eyes covered?
you just keep hitting it until you get there. no can press a key at the exect velocity that equals to 125 or whatever.
or did i get the whole thing wrong?

You could just play something and see what velocities come out.
Or you keep hitting until you get there.
Only, sometimes you can not because the midi keyboard simply can't produce certain values.
Like my Keystation88es: I can hit that 119 velocity pretty reliable because there are rather big gaps under and above that value, but no chance of ever getting a 118 (unless using some other midi tool), not even by chance.
