It's the guitar equivalent of a mullet: "business in front, party in the back."

as you guys know I had a 72 tele custom but it was stolen...I bought it from Ray Hennings Heart of Texas music (I think I got the name right, that was over 30 years ago) at the time I was going between music stores but I forget the other store. My choices was the tele and I was looking at a Yamaha flying V...what made my decision was the yamaha did not sit well in my lap...naturally atthe time I did not realize what a 72 tele custom (black with the maple neck, just like kiefs) would be such a significant guitar...but I just realized the irony there :hihi:

Well, since discovering I can play an 8-string guitar, I'm looking to get into a 6-string bass. Necks are basically the same width :hihi:
Meh.

Reminds me of a builder years ago that used to give bad advice on a forum yet built some horrible looking guitars that could never have intonated properly.
I couldn't resist photoshopping them. I told him he just needed to get his guitars into the right hands.

What is that?

I remember some company coming up with these aluminum bodies (can't recall the brand or model name) about 10~15 years ago. Honestly I thought they looked too space age / tacky to play in public but I wound't mind one around the house.

Not the thing I was thinking of.

I was thinking of aluminum guitars not graphite.
