Hello Forum,

i have found this SCSI Card in my Garage:
http://www.dawicontrol.de/images/large/dc-2975u-hr.gif (http://www.dawicontrol.de/images/large/dc-2975u-hr.gif)

it has a 50 Pin Small SCSI Connection.

Which SCSI Cable should i buy to connect my Akai s3000 XL with my PC and finally make it work with Mesa or Millenium ?

please help me.

HD50 to DIN25? i think, i'd have to see the connection on the sampler

Ehrm... the SCSI card in the PC is to connect harddrives.
The SCSI connector on the sampler is ALSO to connect harddrives.
You cannot use SCSI to let the PC communicate with the sampler.

What are you exactly trying to achieve? Let the sampler play notes from your DAW? Use MIDI for that. Get the audio output of the sampler into the DAW? Use an audio interface for that.

What are Mesa and Millennium? It doesn't ring any bells with me....
We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated. Image

Yes, you can. Using MIDI and SCSI and SMDI, you can indeed both control a sampler and actually edit samples that are on its storage.

if you get the right cable you can edit samples in soundforge
or recycle and SCSI them over to your akai. that is what it is
for. you'll have the small scsi connector on your card out.
the akai end is a centronics. it'll be pretty tough to find the
cable these days, but they're out there, or you could get one made.
i've got one here(but i'm keeping it :) )

HD50 to Centronics? I had one of those that i did by HD50 to DIN25, and a din25 to centronics cable. I used to use a LOT of adaptors in the scsi days. Most of them went when i sold my Amiga....
