Now why would they seal in the battery? Granted, it's rechargeable, but...
Also, there seems to be a whole range of Kenton products along these lines -- a cheaper one is this, but I can't tell if it does the same thing:

edit: let me clarify: I don't mean just the fact that rechargeable batteries die eventually. I mean if you're playing live, and your one and only battery runs out, well that would be bad, right? I would feel better if I had a spare I could plug in right away.

I've seen the iConnectivity but it looks like its simply an iOS/OSX USB2MIDI interface. The USB ports are "B" connectors...the FTP's receiver is an "A"
connector. Maybe it would work with an A/B adapter? It's cheap but $90 is still a lot for something that MIGHT work.

+1 I agree 100%.I don't mean just the fact that rechargeable batteries die eventually. I mean if you're playing live, and your one and only battery runs out, well that would be bad, right? I would feel better if I had a spare I could plug in right away.

Now THAT looks like it would do the trick. The FTP is class compliant so it should work!! Thanks for the heads up ew!!ew wrote:You don't even need to do that. Kenton makes a USB to MIDI converter:
