I would of never expected that but it is in itself beautiful, The honesty

TBH It's this character that tipped me over the edge:

For starters the dude looks like a rapist, Is sporting red tights and a Freddie 'tache not to mention where that microphone is pointing! What is it picking up? Why? Questions that will forever remain unanswered

Yeah that one dude is way beyond just swishy or funny....he's damn creepy...like child molester creepy....LOL!! And don't worry...while it's true I did once own an RK-100 I never allowed myself to be seen with it in public and sold it long ago.....the almighty six string still rules supreme!! I don't get why some here consider keytars so silly... I once tried a Moog Liberation at a music shop, back in the '80s and I still regret it to this day that I didn't buy it!... It was a complete, self-contained analog synth, with lots of controls, it weighed almost 10 times what a normal guitar weighs, and it felt like you were carring a heavy weapon. A real Man's instrument , if any deserves the title...

Also, it had THAT authentic Moog sound.

It's something like penis envy between male musicians

I think a keytar is as nice as a guitar,...
I guess it just feels a bit awkward for keyboard players to walk around naked, with just some instrument on your crotch instead of safely behind the wall of synths

I see the new (wifi) Vortex is black, I'm not sure if I like that color... Still the white is a but more special than plain black,...
So I'm thinking of giving it a sunburst red or so? (matches my Nord Stage

which has nice wood color)

What to use? Just spray cans? With a fernish on top?
It would be nice to have that Behringer Red, I owned it and looks really great.
It has some metallic in it !

looks nice, but you lose all of the labeling.
I would prefer black over white, but I would like red even better.

godly, you are fortunate to have that extremely rare genetic mutation that allows you to be male AND look like a badass while playing a keytar. I envy you.

I'm curious to know what steps you took to prep the surface, and if it's held up over time.
